Blogging -- are we over-communicating?

We've been spotted! I listed the Class of 94's blog as one of the "MCKK's Other Batches' Websites And Blogs" in the sidebar on the right. Today in their blog they acknowledged spotting our blog and... call ours: "Class of 74 (2 decades our senior!)"

One of the persons who influenced me to start blogging in 2003 was John Patrick, former Vice President of IBM's Internet Division whom I hosted when he visited Malaysia to speak on "The Future of The Internet" earlier that year. I still read John Patrick's blog occasionally. His article on blogging was just published in the web, and I reproduce it below. Note how John points out that blogging is also a tool for business.

jalan jalan ke iran

hi gang,

ada satu masa dulu aku propose jalan jalan ke iran. so far masripan , wan zul and dr fadhilah dah tunjuk minat. infact bulan lepas, lagi sekali masripan remind aku dan kebetulan ada bisnes potential kat sana yg dah di offer kat dia untuk di kaji. tapi dengan keadaan isu nuklear kat sana, nampaknya kena cool down dulu la.

tapi aku yakin ok semuanya inshaallah. malah Presiden Iran datang minggu depan. baru embassy depa call semalam ajak adakan mou or stgh. i rasa Pak Lah as OIC chairman akan tunjukkan OIC sepakat mahukan jalan rundingan diplomatik bukan kekerasan militari. selamatkan lah projeck aku kat sana, ya allah.

anyway, bila keadaan lega sikit, inshaalah kita buat program jalan-jalan tengok projek and bidadari2 yg hidung mancung, kulit putih dan......mmmm
