Tajul came! The hero walked in last, arriving when there were only Nikron, Nasir and I remaining.
In the foto above, Maslan is clutching a box of SkyFruit just given by Nikron.
Over 20 Brothers came to this tahlil. Prayers continue for our 10 departed Brothers.
We are grateful to Maslan who initiatied the tahlil. Thank you to Nora, Maslan's wife for making sure there was a sumptuous spread.
Maslan and Nora have a fine mansion with a lovely lawn where we grouped under a tent after the tahlil. It wasn't hard to find the place for most of us, thanks to the host saying in his email invitation that the roundabout is now a traffic light junction. But if only he had alerted us that the important road to his house was closed, then some of us would not have been late!
Nikron gave the SkyFruit free-of-charge to Maslan! Why? Because it's Maslan's birthday! Yes, the BIG FIVE-O....
All together now, "Allah selamatkan kamu... Allah selamatkan kamuuuu.... Allah selamatkan kami semua ("kami semua" by Esham)... ALLAH SELAMATKAN KAMUUUUUU........!!!"
"Happy birthday to you... Happy birthday to youuu..... Happy BIRTHDAY TO MAAASLAAANN...... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOOOO YOUUUUUUUUUU.........!!!!!"
Hearing us Brothers sing the 2 birthday songs, Nora and kids came out to join us at the tent, so we went on to song no. 3, "For he's a jolly good fellow, for he's a jolly good fellow, for he's A JOLLY GOOD FELLLLOOOOWWWW...... that nobody CAN DENYYYYY.....!!!!!"
Maslan was speechless. In all his 50 years, nobody has ever sung him a birthday song!
The above and below fotos were the few I took using my phone camera. I will upload more fotos to this blog as soon as I figure out how to do it from the memory card Maslan asked me to take back from his digital camera.
